  • Who are you - What practices do you use on your Farm?
    We produce pasture raised beef, and bring our products to market in the local Portland, Oregon region. We are all about animal welfare and humane treatment while these animals are in our care. We practice a pasture based system and do not use drugs or hormones. Our beef is grass-fed, grass-finished. We contract with other select local Farms to offer more diversity and to ensure a consistent supply of product. The Farms we work with are carefully vetted to insure they practice the same principles we practice.
  • Where can I find your products?
    We can be found at a local Portland area Farmers Market May through October, as well as a local market year-round that supports small local farms: May-October: Milwaukie Sunday Market, Sundays 9:00am-2:00pm Our products are also found in this local farm direct grocery store: Bread & Roses, a locally owned organic grocery store in SE Portland 6360 SE Foster Road., Portland, OR 97206 You can also review our online shopping options here.
  • What type of payments do you accept
    We accept all major credit cards on the website and in person using our Square account. In person purchases can be made with Cash, Check, Credit/Debit or Apple Pay.
  • How do I receive my purchased products
    We can be found at the Milwaukie Farmers Market on Sundays. Products can be picked up and any balance paid in person at the Farmers Market. Products ordered by Thursday can be picked up at the next Sunday Milwaukie Farmers Market. Milwaukie Sunday Farmers Market, Sundays, May-October (10723 SE Main St.) We offer Free Local Delivery on purchases of $200 or more (excluding beef shares), in the local Portland-Oregon City areas in Oregon. When choosing delivery, please be aware our products are delivered frozen, and require a person present to receive, or an adequate cooler to accommodate all items. Bulk purchases requiring more than one box, can be arranged for pickup. Half Beef Shares are picked up by the customer at the meat processing facility in Sandy, OR. Quarter Beef Shares can be arranged for pickup, or if local you can inquire about delivery.
  • Do you offer delivery?
    Yes, we offer Free Local Delivery in the Portland & Oregon City areas on orders of $200 or more. Please select Portland Local Delivery at check-out. When choosing delivery, please be aware our products are delivered frozen, and require a person present to receive, or an adequate cooler to accommodate all items. Delivery Zone Map below:
  • I want a Beef Share.  If I place a deposit, when do I get my Beef Share?"
    Beef Shares are reserved with a $200 deposit, and we will be in contact with you as soon as possible to provide information as to processing date, potential size/weight, next steps, etc. Beef Share reservations are typically made in advance of processing dates, often months in advance. Often times there are current available shares that can be delivered much sooner. We will provide all possible scenarios when we follow up with your reservation.
  • What's included in a Beef Share?
    Beef Shares are sold in 1/4, 1/2, whole Beefs. It will include Ground, Steaks, Roasts, Short Ribs & Stew. Bones and Organs are included depending on order quantity.
  • What is Hanging Weight when buying a Beef Share?
    Oregon Law requires Animals being sold as shares to be priced based on the "hanging weight". Hanging Weight is the weight of the carcass before it is cut and wrapped. From hanging weight to cut and wrap you can lose up to 50% of the weight.
  • How much freezer space do I need for a Beef Share?
    Generally 1/4 Beef fits into a 7 sq. ft. chest freezer, or comparable freezer space. Likewise, a 1/2 Beef would require a 15 sq. ft. chest freezer, or comparable freezer space.
  • How is your meat processed?
    We support a few small meat processors in our local greater Portland area. Our USDA Beef is processed at 2 USDA processing plants. Malcos Buxtons Meats in Sandy, OR, and Revel Meats in Canby, OR. Our Beef Shares are processed through Malcos Buxtons Meats for USDA, or through The Meating Place in Hillsboro OR, for our On-Farm process.
  • Are your products available year round?
    Our Beef Shares, Beef Boxes and USDA Beef Cuts are available year round. Winter processing is usually slower, please allow additional time. We do partner with select, carefully vetted local Ranches to insure a consistent supply.
